Jill Brinsdon is a life coach, confidence coach and career coach known for her rare blend of grit, wit and perspective. Equal parts strategic and intuitive, she works with people at moments of transition - helping them find clarity, make braver decisions and reshape the way they move through the world.
Her career began in advertising. Think Mad Men, just years later and with fewer martinis. Jill went on to become one of the first women to lead a creative department in New Zealand, learning early how to navigate power, pressure, and the firmly closed door.
She later founded two agencies, Radiation and now Tricky. Years spent building businesses, leading teams and making high-stakes decisions gave her a grounded understanding of how people actually operate under pressure. It also shaped the way she coaches now: practical, perceptive, creative when it counts.
Alongside her professional life, Jill raised two sons solo, renovated houses and commercial buildings, supported multiple charities and travelled widely - not as a side note, but as part of the same story. It is where much of her resourcefulness, humour and perspective was forged.
Now based in Central Otago with her Argentinean partner, Jill works with clients across New Zealand and Australia, moving between the mountains, Auckland, and Sydney. She carries with her a love of dogs, art, film, architecture and the quiet habit of counting her blessings.
She brings a sharp eye, a steady presence and just enough irreverence to keep things honest.

Raised with a poverty of expectation, I knew early on that my life would be defined by the paths I carved, not the ones I inherited. That clarity took me into rooms where I was often the only woman not holding a tray of coffee. I fought for my seat and stayed to make space for others.
Now I use that same fire to guide people through their own challenges, helping them see problems differently and act with more clarity.
I believe in simplicity, kindness and the life-changing power of knowing when to laugh, even in the chaos. The only behaviour we can truly control is our own.There is real power in learning how to use that well.
